Scenic Tours is gearing up for 2015, with the launch of its China/Japan and Canada/Alaska/USA programs.

Next year, the line will explore Canada and North America in more detail, with six new itineraries in the region.

New cruises include a seven-night luxury small ship tour through Alaska’s Inside Passage onboard mega-yacht L’Austral. The itinerary takes guests to towns such as Petersburg and Haines.

There’s also the train and cruise trip departing from Baie-Saint Paul to Quebec City aboard Le Massif de Charlevoix train followed by a steamboat cruise along the Snake and Columbia Rivers aboard American Empress.

Meanwhile, the China and Japan brochure includes visits to three new destinations in China and new cultural and dining experiences.

The company’s popular ‘China Jewels and Luxury Yangtze Cruise tour’ has been extended to 22 days and includes new destinations such as Lhasa, Shangri La and Wuhan.

New cultural experiences in China next year include discovering the centre of Beijing’s tea trade on Milando Tea Street and spending time with a family in Tibet.

In Japan, guests can learn the Japanese art of calligraphy and origami in Kyoto and take a guided walk along the stone path beside a canal lined with temples and shrines.
