Crystal brings magic to the high seas
NewsIn an industry-first, Hollywood’s private magician’s club, the Magic Castle, will hit the high seas aboard Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity.
The cruise line has teamed with Master Magician Rich Bloch to offer a range of intimate magic shows to passengers aboard both vessels through to the end of 2013.
Enrichment classes focusing on topics including Houdini and complimentary magic classes will also be offered to adults wishing to develop their magic skills while younger cruisers will be privy to special children’s shows on select summer and holiday voyages.
“Considering club guests can only gain entrance if they’re in L.A. and invited by a member, Crystal’s Magic Castle at Sea provides rare access to a truly spellbinding entertainment experience,” Crystal Cruises VP of Entertainment Brett Bullock said.
Performances onboard will be invitation only with additional invitations available at the ships’ libraries.
Guests will be guided through a special entrance to the Pulse or Luxe lounges which will be transformed to look and feel like the Magic Castle in Hollywood, complete with flameless candles, ambient lighting, music, bookshelves and magic movies from the 1920s.
Only 25 guests will be permitted entrance at any one show to allow for extremely up-close viewings of the sleight-of-hand tricks and magic.
