Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia has revealed the names of some of the best cruise travel agents in Australia who have made it as finalists in the 2013 Cruise Industry Awards.
Announced today, cruise specialist agents across Australia and New Zealand have made the short list for 14 awards across six categories. The awards recognise an individual who has made a significant contribution to the Australasian cruise industry.
The finalists were selected by a panel of judges including freelance journalist David Carroll, Seatrade’s Helen Hutcheon and InPlace Recruitment’s Sandra Chiles.
“All the finalists played an important part in making 2013 a prosperous year for cruising down under and these awards are a great way for the cruise industry to applaud their efforts,” CLIA Australasia general manager Brett Jardine said.
Winners will be announced at a sold-out awards dinner at Doltone House on Hyde Park on February 8, 2014.
The MCs for the evening will be Channel 7 sportscaster Hamish McLachlan and actress Melanie Vallejo from Winners & Losers.
Cruise Passenger will be reporting live from the CLIA Awards night on 8 February.
