Costa Cruises launches it’s newest ship, Costa Diadema
NewsThe Costa Diadema made its debut in Savona in Italy for the first time and her maiden voyage officially inaugurates the city’s second passenger terminal.
Nicknamed the ‘Queen of the Mediterranean’, the ship cost Costa Cruises US$688 million to build.
Throughout 2015, she will be calling in at the Savona Palacrociere once a week.
And she will be offering seven days cruises in the Mediterranean, including stopovers in Savona, Palma de Mallorca, Naples and La Spezia in Italy, Marseille in France and Barcelona in Spain.
Onboard, Diadema has eight restaurants including a Japanese restaurant, pizza place, a German pub and an ice-cream parlour where passengers can dip their marshmallows and fruits in the chocolate fountain.
There’s also a 4D cinema, a Grand Prix simulator, a Lazer Maze and a card room and the spa facilities include a Turkish bath and Finnish sauna to soothe any aches and pains
She has 19 decks and carries 4,947 passengers.
