Carnival plans first cruise to Asia
NewsCarnival Cruise Lines has revealed it will send Carnival Spirit from Sydney to Singapore next year, on the line’s first ever visit to Asia.
The announcement was made in conjunction with plans to send Carnival Legend to Hawaii via the South Pacific.
The 15-day Asia voyage will depart from Sydney on 1 August 2015 and will include visits to Brisbane, the Whitsundays, Darwin, Lombok and Bali before arriving in Singapore.
Alternatively, Queenslanders can join the cruise from Brisbane on a 13-day sailing from Brisbane to Singapore on 3 August.
There’s also the fly/cruise option where guests can sail home from Singapore on 30 August 2015.
For cruisers keen to sail from Australia to Hawaii, the line has announced it will send Carnival Legend across the Pacific to Hawaii in April next year.
Departing 20 April, the 18-day cruise will make calls in Fiji, Bora Bora, Moorea and Papeetee before arriving in Honolulu.
For cruisers who want to sail home from Hawaii, the ship will sail to Sydney via Tahiti and Fiji on 27 September.
Vice president Jennifer Vandekreeke said the line is giving cruisers new ways to visit Asia and Hawaii.
“We’re excited to be able to offer our guests these longer itineraries which are perfect for travellers looking to visit some wonderful tropical destinations which are a bit further from home, while enjoying all Carnival has to offer onboard,” she said.
