Royal Caribbean has announced a partnership with Mattel to bring the world’s most popular and stylish doll to the high seas.

The Barbie™ Premium Experience will be rolled out exclusively aboard the entire fleet of Royal Caribbean ships from January to March 2013.

“Barbie remains the most popular doll of all time and a powerhouse brand among girls of all ages,” Royal Caribbean senior vice president global sales and marketing Lisa Bauer said.

“She is everywhere girls are today, so it only makes sense that girls can now find her at sea exclusively aboard Royal Caribbean’s fleet of world-class ships.”

An array of complimentary Barbie™ themed activities will be available for those young cruisers participating in the ‘Adventure Ocean’ youth program including; ‘Barbie™ Movie Night’, ‘Barbie™ Story Time’, and Barbie™ movies on their stateroom televisions.

The iconic Barbie™ style can also be emulated in staterooms with keepsakes including a Barbie® doll, blankets and pillowcase, tote bag, toothbrush and toiletries bag.

Private invitations will be sent out to exclusive events including a ‘Tiaras and Teacups Party’ where young cruisers will learn tips on table etiquette while dining on pink pastries and pink lemonade.

The ‘Mermaid Dance Class’ will teach dance moves from ‘Barbie™ in a Mermaid Tale 2’ and the inner creative will be channelled in Fashion Designer workshops complete with Barbie™ inspiration boards and sketching materials.
