154 Champagne breakfasts, 219,127 hands of blackjack, 103,469 nautical miles sailed… They’re just some of the statistics that Azura has notched up in her one year of service!

Passengers sailing on board P&O Cruises UK’s Azura were treated to birthday celebrations aboard the ship on Sunday April 10, to commemorate her christening last year by prima ballerina Darcey Bussell.

Since her launch, she’s sailed the equivalent of five times round the world, entertained 65,000 passengers at Captain’s Welcome on Board parties, seen 515 passengers enjoy massages in The Retreat and served 2,477 portions of the most popular dessert in XVII, Crepe Suzette Flambee.

Another birthday wish arrived in the form of a birthday card, addressed to the birthday girl, her captain and her crew, signed by Ms Bussell:

“Happy 1st Birthday Azura! I wish I could be with you all. Have a wonderful celebration. Love Darcey.”

The card will be on display for passengers!
