Avalon’s new vessels
NewsAvalon Waterways will continue with its tradition of introducing a new Suite Ship every year, with plans to launch two new vessel in 2015.
Avalon Tapestry II and Avalon Tranquility II were revealed in the line’s 2015 preview brochure, and will bring the line’s total fleet of Suite Ships up to ten.
The company first introduced Suite Ships in 2011 with the debut of Avalon Panorama. Since a new Suite Ship has entered the Avalon fleet every year.
The new ships will be identical to previous Suite Ships.
They are designed specifically for the Australian market, with two decks of all-suite accommodation and 30 percent more cabin area than other river cruise lines.
Cabins also include panoramic windows that can slide back to turn the cabin into an open-air balcony.
In addition to the new ships, the 2015 preview brochure features 28 river cruise itineraries ranging from eight to 24 days.
