This October, Australia will be welcoming Holland America Line’s msNoordam, which will be home-porting in Sydney for six months.

Unlike the recently released itineraries for the Australian season of Ovation of the Seas (the four sailings left many locals wondering whether Royal Caribbean actually knew where Australia was)the msNoordam is booked in for a total of nine round-trip sailings and six one-way departures through to April 2016, varying in length from 12 to 38 days.

Holland America Line says they’re sure she will have as positive a response Down Under as she has had in Europe, the Caribbean and Alaska, where she’s been spending her time since her arrival in 2006.

But, as a bonus, we’ll be receiving the newly refurbished ship; she came out of drydock in April this year with new LED screens in the main show lounge. Also among the list of features that have had facelifts is the Dive-In eatery, serving hotdogs and burgers, The Greenhouse Spa & Salon and Pinnacle Bar.

“The arrival of Noordam in our region further exemplifies our commitment to offering Australians and New Zealanders the very best in premium, mid-sized cruising,” said Tony Archbold, Director of Sales, Australia and New Zealand.
