Actor takes on Quest for new role

Under the heat of the Barcelona sun in June, passengers, celebrities, Seabourn executives and media will join respected American actor Blythe Danner as she christens Seabourn Quest, the third ship in as many years for Seabourn.
Danner, star of numerous stage shows and films, including the Meet the Parents movies, was the perfect choice for her newest role as godmother of one of the most luxurious cruise ships afloat, said Richard Meadows, Seabourn’s president.
“Blythe Danner perfectly embodies the blend of style and sophistication, of emotional depth with a unique sense of fun that sparks the social atmosphere on board a Seabourn ship,” Richard Meadows, Seabourn’s President said.
After the June 20 ceremony, Seabourn Quest will embark on her maiden voyage – a 14-night cruise to Athens – before beginning her inaugural season of seven-day Eastern Mediterranean cruises, which alternate between Athens and Istanbul, and Venice and Athens.
