Australian cruisers will be able to experience the benefits of a €90 million ($12 million) upgrade to Costa Cruises’ Costa Romantica when she visits Australia for the 2012/13 season.
Costa Romantica’s renovations, which are due to start next month, will be so extensive that, upon emerging from the dry dock in February 2012, she will be renamed Costa neoRomantica. The ship will feature a new wine bar and restaurant, a Samsara Spa and wellness area, a showlounge bar, a cabaret club, a nightclub, two new half-decks and a 111 new cabins.
Costa neoRomantica will set sail from Savona, Italy on September 19, 2012 on an 88-night voyage to Melbourne, Australia, offering a wide range of cruise options from numerous ports on the way. Arriving in Melbourne on December 13, Costa neoRomantica will embark on a roundtrip 21-night Christmas holiday sailing to New Zealand and Tasmania, before heading back to Italy on January 3, 2012, via four 21-night to 25-night grand cruises.
