Costa Victoria was welcomed at her new homeport in Shanghai last week making the Costa Cruises the largest international operator at the Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal.

The launch was attended by chairman and CEO of Costa Crociere S.p.A. Pier Luigi Foschi, vice mayor of the Shanghai Municipal Government Mr Xue Chao, Costa Victoria godmother, fashion designer and China’s first supermodel Mary Ma and local dignitaries.

“We are thrilled to see Costa Victoria launch from Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal,” Mr Foschi said.

“She embodies our commitment to the China and Asian market.

“We were the first international cruise company authorised to operate in the China market, so it’s with great pride that I can attend today to see one of our finest cruise ships leave from this remarkable port in this spectacular city.”

The 2,394-passenger Costa Victoria has been redesigned to feature a plethora of opportunities for cruising fashionistas with high-end brands available for sale at duty free prices and fashion shows modeling items available onboard.
