American Safari Cruises has announced that major renovations will transform the 102-passenger Safari Endeavour into a much more intimate 86-passenger yacht, to be named Spirit of Endeavour. The ship should be ready for action in Southeast Alaska for the northern summer season of 2012.
The 16 per cent reduction in guest capacity will allow the addition of two massage rooms, two hot tubs, a sauna, exercise equipment, a wine bar and a library. Guests will enjoy a mix of twin and king beds in a selection of five stateroom categories, including three Master, 21 Commander, 12 Captain, three Admiral and four Commodore Suites. And a guest to crew ratio of 2.5 to 1 will, no doubt, ensure passengers are always looked after.
“The newly-created ambience on board will be casual yet with a full menu of upscale amenities,” said Tim Jacox, executive vice president of sales and marketing.
The ship will operate a number of luxury adventure cruises through Southeast Alaska.
