The biggest ship heading to Australia, Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas, is close to 50 per cent complete.
Royal Caribbean has just released images of the ship under construction at the Myer Werft shipyard in Germany.
The US$1 billion vessel will be the newest and most technologically advanced ship to ever call Australia home and will be arriving in December 2016.
Her first port of call in Australia will be Fremantle in Western Australia on December 6, 2016 before making her way to Sydney’s Circular Quay.
Ovation of the Seas is the third Quantum Class ship and will have a new set of first-at-sea onboard experiences to Australia including the Ripcord by iFly, a heart-pounding skydiving experience; North Star, the largest star indoor sports and entertainment complex at sea with bumper cars, a circus school and the Bionic Bar.
The ship will also have new dining venues where guests can choose from 18 restaurants including Jamie’s Italian, Michaels Genuine Pub as well as Royal Caribbean favourites like Chops Grille steakhouse and Izumi Japanese.
Guests can also get high speed internet so they can stream, video call as well as use the Royal iQ app which will look after their schedules onboard.
Bookings are currently open for her first season which includes three Australia and New Zealand sailings.
