One of the coldest parts of the world is heating up in cruising, as cruise lines add new itineraries in Antarctica and South America.

In 2015 and 2016, there will be more options in the icy region than ever before.

Among the companies increasing their product in the region include lines, Evergreen Tours and Scenic Tours.

Teaming up with Celebrity Cruises, Evergreen Tours will offer a new 34-day South America and Antarctica In Style itineraries next year, which combines two cruises.

The holiday starts with a 20-day Best of South America Tour travelling from Santiago in Chile to Buenos Aires aboard Celebrity Infinity. Following the ocean cruise guests will board Stella Australis for a 14-night adventure from Buenos Aires to Cape Horn. The trip includes visits to the Schollart Channel, Paradise Bay, Gerlach Strait and Elephant Island, Falkland Islands, Montevideo (Uruguay) and back to Buenos Aires.

There’s also a 31-day South America + Antarctica Revealed itinerary, which also combines a 20-day Best of South America Tour with a 10-day small ship expedition cruise.

Sailing aboard MV Sea Explorer, the ship will visit Anvers Island, South Shetland Islands, Deception Island, Paulet Island and Paradise Harbour.

Meanwhile, Scenic’s 2016 Antarctica program includes a third private charter luxury small ship cruise to the icy region and additional itineraries combining South America and Antarctica.

The holidays showcase more of South America and Antarctica.

Among them is the 13-day Ultimate Antarctic Adventure, which starts in Buenos Aires and includes visits to Ushuaia, Deception Island, Port Lackroy, Pleneau Island and Neko Paradise Bay.

There’s also a 21-day Taste of Brazil & Ultimate Antarctic Adventure that takes cruisers around Antarctica before heading to Iguazu Falls and Rio de Janiero.

New to the line in 2016 are the South Georgia and Chilean Fjords itineraries, which take guests around South America, the Galapagos and Antarctica in 35- to- 45-days.

Departing from Guayaquil in Ecuador, the itineraries sails to the Galapagos Islands, Lima, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Cuzco, Puno, Lima, Iguazu Falls, Rio de Janiero, Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, El Calafate, Perito Moreno Glacier, Patagonia and Puerto Varas before ending in Santiago.
