MSC is delighting cruisers’ palates at sea, with the launch of three wine-themed cruises.
The seven-night ‘On The Wine Routes’ cruises on MSC Splendida departs from Genoa, Italy on 2 and 9 November and 14 December this year.
During the cruise, guests will be able to partake in expert-led tastings and talks and enjoy a wide range of fine local wines during city tours.
There will also be one excursion to a wine producer or cellar in Barcelona, and a high quality beverage package on board, which allows guests to try wines with meals and receive a bottle of fine sparkling wine on Gala Night.
The cruises departing in November will stop at Naples and Messina in Italy ; Tunis in Tunisia ; Barcelona, Spain ; and Marseille, France. During December, Italian stops will be in Civitavecchia and Palermo in Sicily.
MSC chief executive Gianni Onorato said the cruises celebrate the Mediterranean’s rich wine culture.
“Many people enjoy a glass of good wine, but some want to take this a step further and learn more about wine, its production, history and so on,” he said.
“On The Wine Routes is a unique chance to discover more about wine in different countries under expert guidance, in an unhurried and enjoyable way.”
The cruise is priced from $664 per person twin share.
