P&O Cruises UK has announced a new addition to its fleet, the as-yet-unnamed 141,000-tonne cruise ship, which will be the largest Britain has seen.
While the features of the new ship are yet to be revealed, P&O Cruises UK promised that the ship will have all the latest designs and passenger amenities while preserving classic icons.
Micky Arison, Carnival Corporation and plc’s Chairman and CEO, is looking forward to the fleet’s expansion.
Mr Arison stated, “The UK continues to be a key growth market and innovative vessels, such as the new P&O Cruises ship, underscore our commitment to leading the expansion of this important cruise region.”
The ship, which will be constructed at the Italian shipyards of Fincantieri, is scheduled to begin operations in March 2015.
