Carnival has announced that they will reposition Carnival Conquest from New Orleans to Miami in November 2013 to sail seven-day Caribbean itineraries year-round.

Offering two variations to her itineraries, Carnival Conquest will sail to the eastern Caribbean calling into Nassau, St. Thomas, San Juan and Grand Turk with western Caribbean ports including Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Belize and Mahogany Bay.

The move will result in Carnival operating five ships year-round from the Port of Miami, carrying more than a million passengers per year, the most for any of the line’s homeports.

Carnival Conquest is the next ship in line to receive the ‘Fun Ship 2.0’ initiatives and will be replaced in New Orleans by the soon to be revamped Carnival Destiny, operating as Carnival Sunshine.
