Silversea’s Silver Spirit will be cruising the Mediterranean in September 2011 with an itinerary taking in some of the area’s most appealing locations.
The 28-day journey leaves Istanbul, Turkey, on September 23, 2011. Sailing south, Spirit will stop in Kusadasi, Turkey, for ancient history immersion in the ruins of Ephesus.
The escarpment-topping architecture at Santorini will then capture hearts and minds when Spirit crisscrosses between multiple Greek Island ports.
Baroque churches and labyrinthine streets in Valleta, Malta, follow before Taormina (Sicily), Rome (Italy) and Monte Carlo (Monaco). Ports in Sardinia, Corsica, Italy – Livorno giving access to Florence and Pisa, France, Spain and Gibraltar, then feature.
Spirit’s voyage concludes in Lisbon, Portugal on October 21, 2011. Shorter sectors are also available at seven, 14 or 21 days.
