Luxury cruisers are keeping it classy on and off the ship.
According to hire car fleet company, Royale Limousines the number of cruise ship passengers requesting limousine transfers to their hotel upon arrival in Sydney this year has grown.
In January the company had 80 limousine transfers off a single ship. Overall bookings have increased by 20 percent compared to the same month last year.
Managing director John Bartolotta contributed sudden growth to the increased number of large luxury vessels visiting the city.
“On February 27, 2014 we provided 40-50 transfers off a single ship. We never experienced that kind of call for cruise ship transfers in the past,” he told Cruise Passenger.
“Sydney is a city cruise passengers want to stop at and they want to do it in style.”
According to John, the majority of the company’s bookings are short transfers from the ship at Circular Quay or White Bay to their hotel.
And the most popular limousine request is for a European sedan.
