Travellers planning a self-driving boating holiday will have more choice next year, when Le Boat welcomes 32 new vessels to its fleet.

The company announced it had spent €7 million towards 26 Vision luxury diesel river boats in France and Italy and six in Delphia.

According to the cruise line, the Visions will be designed exclusively for Le Boat. They will be lower in height than previous Vision vessels and will feature an easy-access staircase to connect the galley and fly bridge.

Meanwhile, the Vision2 boats will sleep up to six people in a larger master cabin with en-suite and an additional smaller cabin.

The company will also introduce new destinations, including Mazurian Lakes of Poland. Travellers will be able to explore over 2000 interconnected lakes and see Poland’s Castle Lehndorff; the ruins of Mamerki; and Teutonic castle in Ryn.

Vision Cruising will be available in Italy for guests looking to explore Southern Europe; and Brittany, France to showcase the region’s Celtic heritage and castles.

Travellers sailing in France will also be able to access Wi-Fi in select destinations. It will be available for up to six devices per boat.
