P&O Cruises announces the winners of its Landlubbers campaign.
The winners of a P&O Cruises competition that aims to dispel misconceptions about cruising have been announced. Accompanied by partners or family, the six winners will be cruising the South Pacific next month.
“We’re really looking forward to putting all our winners on a Pacific Islands cruise on September 9 so that we can show them their views are unfounded,” said Jenny Lourey, senior vice president of Carnival Australia.
Entrants were asked to write 200 words, accompanied by video or photographs, explaining why they have previously chosen not to cruise (see know nothing about cruising?).
The winners include a family from Glenwood in Sydney’s west and couples from Cedar Grove, Queensland; Brunswick Heads, NSW; Chatswood on Sydney’s North Shore; Warana Beach, Queensland; and Coober Pedy in South Australian.
P&O Cruises will film the cruise, relaying the landlubbers’ experiences on the cruise line website with blog posts and video streams.
