Five-time Grammy Award winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, James Taylor will hold two special concerts on board Queen Mary 2 next year during her ten-year anniversary sailing.
The ‘Fire and Rain’ singer will during her trans-Atlantic crossing from New York to Southampton departing 27 August 2014. It will be Taylor’s second time on board the ship, following the band’s transport and rehearsal trip in 2009.
Taylor said he’s looking forward to performing for Queen Mary 2’s ten-year anniversary.
“I’ve always wanted to take an ocean liner back to Europe, and in August 2009 we got the chance to do that. It’s such a civilised way to go, and Queen Mary 2 is the last word in first-class travel,” Taylor said.
The concerts will take place in the ship’s Royal Court Theatre.
James Taylor and his band join a line up of other music artists boarding cruise ships next year to entertain guests.
