Orion II is making a 12-day cruise through the islands of Micronesia next November – an itinerary designed to take you away from the tourist mainstream and offering the chance to explore places in the Pacific Ocean where Westerners rarely step ashore.
Sailing between Rabaul and Palau, Orion II will visit some of the world’s best snorkelling and dive spots, World War II battle sites, shipwrecks and remote islands.
Highlights include snorkelling with manta rays in untouched coral reefs that reach the sizes of suburbs, diving to the shipwrecks of Truk Lagoon, and experiencing the traditional way of life led in small island villages.
The adventure cruise concludes in Palau; its famed Rock Islands are regarded by many as the most beautiful island group on the planet, consisting of 200 jungle-topped limestone islands set in warm, crystal-clear waters.
