Norway continues to prove popular amongst cruisers, with Hurtigruten introducing a new cruise along the country’s coast.
The new 12-day Lofoten Experience itinerary departs 3 March 2014 on MS Midnatsol.
Guests will sail from Bergen, cross the Arctic Circle, and make calls in Bodo and Saltstraumen before making an overnight stay on land before joining MS Nordlys on a voyage northwards towards Lofoten.
Highlights of the trip include three days in Svolvaer where guests will travel through the island and see its mountains, snow covered bays and sleepy hamlets.
The final leg of the trip will be a stop in Harstad to see mountain peaks, narrow fjords and tiny islands before rejoining MS Midnastol to return to Bergen.
This is the second Norway-focus itinerary the line has introduced in the past two months.
In October Hurtigruten revealed it would sail a one-off voyage, ‘Heart of Norwegian Lapland’.
The 12-day roundtrip on MS Midnastol departs Bergen on 25 March next year and travel along Norway’s fjord coast.
