Oceania Cruises’ new ship, Marina, is fast establishing itself as a cruise ship for foodies. It already has ten restaurants (six of which are open-dining gourmet restaurants), private degustation dinners and the first hands-on cooking school at sea, and the cruise line has just announced another.
Guests on Marina can now experience tapas and wine tastings in the exclusive La Reserve by Wine Spectator wine tasting room. Open between noon and 2pm on any day of a cruise, guests are presented with a selection of top-notch tapas and fifteen different wines to choose from.
The tastings, along with the rest of the ship’s culinary program, have been developed under guardianship of celebrated French-American chef Jacques Pépin,
“Marina and the soon-to-launch Riviera have been purposely built to deliver the best cuisine at sea and I am delighted to report we have really exceeded the company’s and our customer’s expectations,” said Frank Del Rio, chairman and CEO of Prestige Cruise Holdings.
