Grab your camera phone and find a spot on the harbor, because February is set to be one of the biggest months in Australian cruising.

Next month, Sydney will welcome a record number of 39 cruise ship arrivals, up from 36 last February. Twenty-one of them will dock at the Overseas Passenger Terminal, giving locals and tourists in Circular Quay a great view.

Rhapsody of the Seas will be the first to sail in on February 1. Rhapsody of the Seas will also visit on the busiest day of the month, February 11, along with Holland America’s Amsterdam and Australian ship, Astor.

Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 will make a royal entrance on February 19 and Costa Cruises’ Costa Deliziosa will make a rare stop on the last day of the month at Athol Buoy.

It’s also set to be a busy month in Brisbane waters, with seventeen ship visits scheduled.

Oceania Cruises’ Marina will make her second appearance in Australia this year, and will start her Australian tour in Brisbane on February 20. P&O’s Pacific Dawn will be a regular at the port, arriving three times next month. And Hapag-Lloyd’s Columbus 2 will make a rare visit on February 7.

Tasmanians will see eighteen ship visits next month. Astor, Voyager of the Seas and Carnival Spirit will make two stops during the month, while Pacific Pearl will arrive four times.

Six ships will be heading down south to Adelaide next month. Among them will be Celebrity Solstice on February 16 and Radiance of the Seas on February 26. Meanwhile Seabourn Sojourn will make two calls on February 16 and 17 while Diamond Princess will make an entrance on February 25.

Fremantle’s peak season will be March, however, four ships will visit in February including Queen Mary 2 on February 12, Celebrity Solstice on February 21, Seabourn Sojourn on 23 and 24 February as well as Diamond Princess on February 28.

Meanwhile, Darwin will welcome five ships next month. Including Artania on February 8, Seven Seas Voyager on February 11, Columbus 2 on February 15, Crystal Symphony on February 23 and Queen Mary 2 on February 27.
