Contemporary Middle Eastern politics, ancient history, oceanography and all things culinary will feature on an expert-enriched 12-day Mediterranean voyage on Crystal Serenity this October.
Departing Athens, the Crystal Cruises voyage will visit Santorini and Mykonos, Greece; Ashdod, Israel; Limassol, Cyprus; Iraklion, Crete; and Kusadasi, Turkey, while experts expand the experience with journeys through time, space and taste.
With three-decades in Middle Eastern politics behind him, Ambassador Marc Ginsberg will provide guests with an overview of the area’s current political climate. International best selling author, Dr Jean-Pierre Isbouts will transport passengers into the world of Jesus’ youth, the lost city of Atlantis and the ancient culture and history of Greece and Istanbul. And Oceanographer Christopher Croxson will give a special perspective on the watery world beneath.
All the while, food writer Michele Scicolone will give insight into the evolution of the region’s food while an assortment of renowned chefs, wine experts, cocktail mixologists and baristas serve up delicious creations.
