Disney disappearance ‘not suspicious’

Bahamian police rule out foul play as Mexican Navy call off sea searches.

The Royal Bahamas Police Force found no evidence of foul play in their investigation in to the disappearance of missing Disney Wonder crewmember, 24-year-old Rebecca Coriam.

Coriam was reported missing on Tuesday March 21, when she failed to report for a shift in the ship’s youth centre while the ship was sailing a seven-night Mexican Riviera cruise from Los Angeles.

Since then, multiple searches of the 3,325-passenger vessel and sea have failed to find the British national. The Mexican Navy has called off its search and the Royal Bahamas Police Force has said there is no evidence to suggest foul play.

“At the present time there is no evidence to suggest foul play. The case remains open and under active investigation,” Superintendent Paul Rolle was quoted as saying by BBC’s website.
