Cruisers visiting Sydney today or tomorrow may miss out on touring the Blue Mountains, as bush fires continue west of Sydney.
Bush fires have affected parts of Sydney and New South Wales since late last week. More than 200 homes were lost over the weekend. Authorities are concerned the number could continue to rise.
In a Facebook statement, AAT Kings advised its guests that it will not operate Day tours to the Blue Mountains on Tuesday 22 October.
The tour operator said the safety of its passengers is its number one priority.
The statement read: “Our thoughts are with the families affected by the bush fires.
“The region has AAT Kings’ full support and we will resume tours to this beautiful area as soon as safe.”
Gray Line Tours have also cancelled its Blue Mountains Tours for Tuesday 22 October.
Cruise passengers still eager to see the Blue Mountains while they’re in Sydney can try Tours-R-Us, who have not cancelled their Blue Mountains Tour for tomorrow.
