Norwegian Cruise Line announced overnight it would be joining Princess Cruises, Cunard Line and Royal Caribbean International in celebration of the April 29 wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The historic union held at Westminster Abbey will be broadcast on Norwegian Cruise Lines’ Freestyle ships’ – Norwegian Pearl, Norwegian Jade, Norwegian Jewel, Norwegian Gem and Norwegian Epic – big screens and guests will also be spoiled with British-themed entertainment.
There’ll be a special Prince and Princess Brunch for $15 a head that includes poached eggs, kippers, grilled lamb, marmalade toast and other English delights; a Royal High Tea for $10 per person with cucumber sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and other delicacies; and fish and chips, pie and mash, and bread and butter pudding will be served throughout the vessels.
Similar celebrations are scheduled to take place on Princess and Cunard vessels – British fare in restaurants, competitions with a royal flavour, and of course the showing of the historic event itself.
