Celebrity Cruises is taking its guests to some of the world’s biggest events as part of its 2015/16 signature events sailing.

The program gives guests access to a series of festivals and celebrations in places like Europe, Asia and South America.

How about a shore excursion to Rio de Janiero’s vibrant Carnival? Passengers on the 14-night South America and Rio Carnival cruise will enjoy VIP seating or grandstand access to the iconic Sambadrome.

Departing 31 January 2016 from Buenos Aires, the cruise visits Ilhabela and Buzios before arriving in Rio de Janiero. The ship and its guests will spend three days in the city where they will take part in parties on land and on the ship. Professional samba dancers will provide samba lessons.

Following Carnival, the cruise will continue its South America journey, with visits to Punta Del Este and Montevideo in Uruguay.

The 14-night Chinese New Year cruise aboard Celebrity Millennium, will visit Asia’s vibrant cities and arrive in Hong Kong in time for Chinese New Year celebrations.

Guests will see live performances by Shaolin Monks, take Tai Chi lessons and celebrate the ‘Year of the Monkey’.

Golf fans will be keen to join the 12-night British Isle cruise aboard Celebrity Silhouette, which offers VIP experiences to the British Open.

Departing from Amsterdam on 15 July 2015 to arrive in Edinburgh on 18 July for an overnight stay in the city.

During the cruise Celebrity will invite golf pros to host onboard events; give passengers entry to the historic championship in St Andrews; and play golf in three different locations during the cruise.

Join some of Hollywood’s biggest names at the Cannes Film Festival, when Celebrity Equinox docks in Cannes during a 10-night Mediterranean cruise.

Passengers will be invited to attend an exclusive VIP rooftop celebration ashore with live French music, cocktails and a stunning view. Onboard the line will host a film festival with showings of past Cannes Film Festival winners.

Be a part of Venice’s historic Redentore Festival during the 14-night Turkey and Black Sea cruise.

The itinerary starts with embarkation in Turkey on 5 July 2015. The ship will travel to Sochi, Yalta, Sevastopol, Odessa, Kusadasi, Athens and Split before ending in Venice with an overnight visit.

Once in Venice, guests will watch one of the world’s biggest firework displays, see decorated boats gathered in Saint Mark’s basin and enjoy a poolside masque event inspired by a Venetian masquerade ball.

Finally, to commemorate the century anniversary of Anzac Day, Celebrity Cruises’ 12-night Turkey and Greece cruise on Celebrity Constellation will include a special viewing of the 100th anniversary of the Anzac Day service televised from the beaches of Gallipoli onto the ship. There will also be a commemorative onboard ceremony plus historian and author Peter Donovan will offer World War 1 and II history lessons.
