Australians will have an easy time staying healthy on holidays when the Biggest Loser’s Shannan Ponton whips Carnival into shape.
Shannan has been recruited as the first-ever Australian ambassador for Carnival Cruise Lines. He has been given the responsibility of helping the line provide Carnival Spirit and Carnival Legend guests with a healthy and happy balance on holidays.
His first order of business is to develop an exclusive group workout and a ‘do-it-yourself’ gym program for cruisers.
Guests won’t be the only ones getting the Biggest Loser treatment. Shannan will take time to train the line’s trainers in motivation and exercise techniques.
Additionally he will work with the line’s chefs to create nutritious and flavoursome food for the ships’ ‘Freshie’s Corner’ and provide recommendations on the healthiest picks from the Empire dining room menu.
With over 20 years of fitness experience, Shannan says he’s excited about the partnership and to be able to help cruisers find a healthy balance.
“You can enjoy your holiday and relax completely, but also easily get active and maintain a healthy lifestyle,” he explained
Carnival Cruise Lines vice president Jennifer Vandekreeke said Shannan’s infectious and enthusiastic personality mirrors the cruise line.
“We’re thrilled to be able to offer guests sailing on board Carnival Spirit and Carnival Legend access to a number of world class experiences either developed, or hand selected, by Shannan himself.”
Shannan’s healthy influences will be available on Carnival Spirit from 21 March 2014, and on Carnival Legend when she arrives in Australia in September 2014.
