River cruise company Avalon Waterways is dropping singles supplements on some of its 2011 European river cruises, including its yet-to-be-launched Avalon Panorama. For travellers who book soon, this equals saving thousands of dollars.
For bookings made before January 4, travellers sailing solo can save up to AU$2,511 on the 13-day ‘European Splendor’ itinerary departing March 20 from Amsterdam to Vienna along the Rhine and Danube. Fares begin at AU$4,757.
A few months later Avalon Panorama will be christened by Channel 9 news presenter Lisa Wilkinson, and Avalon Waterways has waived the singles supplement on its November 14 ‘Blue Danube Discovery’ cruise from Budapest to Prague.
