Here is a first look at Allure of the Seas as she arrived at her homeport of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Thousands of onlookers lined the shore, along with Royal Caribbean International employees and executives eager to get a look at the world’s biggest cruise ship as she completed a 13-day transatlantic crossing from her shipyard in Turku, Finland, flanked by maritime escorts.
Allure of the Seas made history again when she met her older sister, Oasis of the Seas, for the first time off the coast of Florida on Saturday. Passengers onboard Oasis were able to get a closer view of the new ship and could wave to Allure’s crew from the top deck!
Cruise Passenger’s Editor, Sally Macmillan, will be onboard Allure for her christening on November 28. Keep an eye on Cruise Passenger’s blog for Sally’s updates!
