The 382-passenger Silver Shadow will be embarking on 14 Alaskan cruise adventures in 2012, according to the recently released details of Silversea Cruises’ 2012 Alaska voyages.
The luxury vessel, which is small enough to explore the region’s lesser-known ports and sites, will be operating seven- to 16-day cruises from May to September 2012, with departures from Seward, Alaska, and Vancouver, Canada.
On a seven-day voyage from Vancouver to Seward, Silver Shadow will explore the Inside Passage, taking in the Tracy Arm Fjord and Sawyer Glacier and visiting Ketchikan and the historic gold mining town of Juneau before stopping in Skagway and Sitka and introducing guests to the spectacular vista of Hubbard Glacier.
An 11-day round-trip voyage from Vancouver will cruise much of the same territory, with the addition of Wrangell in the Tongass National Park.
Voyages can be extended with pre- and post-cruise land adventures to numerous Alaskan wilderness highlights.
