MSC Cruises expands use of a memory-enhancing aroma.
The sense of smell is said to be the greatest trigger for memory. That’s why in 2009, MSC Cruises partnered with Brand Sense, a global leader in sensory marketing, to develop its own dedicated fragrance.
Originally diffused throughout MSC Splendida as a trial, the fragrance, MED by MSC, has now been extended across the entire fleet – with the exception of MSC Melody.
The fresh and fruity fragrance is said to enhance guests’ memories of their MSC Cruises cruise for years to come.
Aptly named MED, the trademark MSC scent represents the cruise line’s relationship with the Mediterranean and the prominent aromas from the region are represented in the perfume: fig trees warmed by summer sun, fresh herbs and citrus flavours and floral jasmine on an ocean breeze, for example.
