Come 2016, Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection will be offering in-suite butler service throughout its entire European fleet.
The butlers, trained by Zita Langenstein of England’s famed Ivor Spencer butler school, are trained to provide the service that can be found at five-star hotels and royal residences, including Buckingham Palace.
“Being a Uniworld butler means providing a supreme standard of service that goes above and beyond to create memorable moments for our guests,” said Valentin Gradescu, Uniworld’s Head Corporate Butler.
“A few years ago, we organised a limousine transfer from the train station to the ship for a couple who had travelled with us many times before,” reminisces Valentin. “Upon their arrival, there I was, ready to greet them, wearing my uniform with white gloves on and a fresh white rose on my lapel. When they saw me, they were speechless and incredibly impressed by the personalised touch.”
And the high level of service doesn’t end there. Uniworld suites include hand-crafted Savoir of England beds, Italian marble-lined bathrooms with heated towel warmers, a daily fresh fruit plate and freshly baked pastries, shoe-shine service and personalised training and wellness services.
In the meantime, the service will still be offered onboard River Beatrice, S.S. Antoinette, S.S. Catherine and S.S. Maria Theresa.
