Queen Victoria was launched December 2007. The interior of this ship has wood carvings, crystal chandeliers and iron balustrades. This is a medium ship which can carry 2,014 passengers and 1,000 crew, Queen Victoria is similar to Queen Elizabeth in terms of enrichment programs, cabins and layout. The only difference is the darker interiors for Queen Victoria compared to Queen ElizabethÂ’s light Art Deco-inspired interiors. The ship offers programs and activities for kids travelling on board. Babies must be at least 6 months old on board Queen Victoria.

There are 1,003 cabins on board Queen Victoria. There are 146 ocean view rooms, 143 inside rooms, 581 balcony cabins. This vessel does not have interconnecting staterooms. All of the cabins are roomy and well appointed. The room sizes begin from 14 square meters up to 198 square meters in the Grand Suite. For those guests who are booked in the Suite accommodation have private access to the Concierge and Butler Service. Additionally, suite guests can access the Princess and Queens Grill Restaurant for dinner from 6:30m pm to 9pm.

Queen Victoria has two main dining rooms for their guests. Standard accommodation passengers can dine at the Britannia Restaurant and the Lido Buffet. Britannia Restaurant occupies Deck 2 and Deck 3 and is considered to be the largest dining venue on board. The passengers booked on suite cabins can dine in the exclusive dining rooms РQueens Grill and Princess Grill. For lighter meals, Caf̩ Carinthia provides guests with pastries and cakes during tea time.

The Cunard Royal Spa is found on Deck 9. It offers acupuncture, facials, nail services, massages and Ayurvedic treatments. Queen Victoria has a modern Fitness Centre which is near the hydropool area. The gym has modern exercise bikes, free weights, 4 Nordic trainers and 15 running machines. The Royal Bath House offers thermal suites, steam rooms and sauna. There are day lectures at the gym or spa bout health and wellness as well as proper way of eating.

Queen Victoria is not absolutely family-oriented. However, they provide programs for kids like crafts, games, discos and trivia at Deck 10. The Lido Restaurant offers tea parties for kids from 5pm to 5:45pm. Kids and parents can enjoy fresh fruits, yogurts and vegetables, French fries, ice cream, nuggets and hot dogs. For babies to be allowed on board, they have to be at least 6 months old. The Play Zone caters to kids from age 2 to 7 years old. The Kids Zone is for 8 to 12-year-old kids with activities including video and board games. The Teens Zone is for 13 to 17 year olds and they can play with video games and enjoy disco.

“The ship itself is fabulous – big but not daunting and all the public areas are beautifully kept. Fresh flowers everywhere: plus the whole place was tastefully decked out for Christmas.
