It was announced this week with all the fanfare of a mega star rock concert. On November 9, Princess Cruises will be on standby for another record booking day.

Australians have made the line’s circumnavigation of the world a very special event. According to Stuart Allison, vice president Australia and New Zealand, the amazing journey around the globe is so well received, there is a 75 per cent return rate and the day has broken records for four years.

It has become one of the hottest tickets on the Australian cruise calendar. And sales of the 2019 “greatest hits” round the world tour are likely to be no exception.

The 106-day cruise will include destinations like St Petersburg in Russia, New York in North America and Peru in South America.

The Sea Princess will sail 34,000 nautical miles (62,968kms) through the Indian Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, Baltic Sea, Atlantic Ocean, Panama Canal and Pacific Ocean, visiting 39 destinations across 32 countries. Highlights include access to over 15 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and maiden calls to Puntarenas, Costa Rica, Salaverry, Peru and Portland, U.K. where guests can embark on a shore excursion to World Heritage Site, Stonehenge.

“2019 World Cruise marks an astonishing twelfth year in World Cruise from Australia” said Mr Allison.

“With the 2018 World Cruise already at capacity, it’s clear that Australians and New Zealanders are turning to cruise holidays more than ever to explore the globe.”

“For World Cruise 2019, we’re inviting guests to make the most of each port destination with 3 overnight stays in Dubai, St Petersburg and New York.

“We’re also encouraging more immersive experiences with 13 More Ashore calls in popular destinations including; Barcelona, London (Dover), Cobh (where guests can join in the port’s World Cruise Australia Day celebrations), Charleston, Lima (Callao), and Papeete.” said Mr. Allison.

Giving guests more flexibility to see the world, following the conclusion of the world cruise, Sea Princess will embark on a shorter, 35 day Hawaii, Tahiti and South Pacific voyage. Cruisers will sail to five island groups in the Pacific Ocean, including Fiji, American Samoa, Hawaii (with access the World Heritage Hawaii Volcanoes National Park), French Polynesia and New Zealand.
