Emerald Destiny was launched in 2017 and is Emerald Waterways’ fifth “Star Ship”. It joins its sister ships cruising the Danube, Rhine, Main and Moselle rivers. The deluxe ship has a heated swimming pool with a retractable roof that can be transformed into a cinema and caters mainly to cruisers aged 55 plus. The 443 foot long river vessel can accommodate 182 guests and 47 crew.

Emerald Destiny has 20 staterooms and 72 suites. Accommodation is spread over three decks in five categories including Single Staterooms (measuring 130 square feet), 18 Emerald Staterooms (162 square feet), Balcony Suites (180 square feet), Grand Balcony Suites (210 square feet) and Owner’s Suites (315 square feet). All the standard cabins have television entertainment system, virtual fireplace, shoe horn and shoe cleaner, umbrella, earplugs and robes.

The main restaurant on board is the Reflections Restaurant, which serves a breakfast and lunch buffets and a la carte four-course dinners. The Terrace at the bow of the ship offers alfresco dining for a light breakfast or a cafe-style lunch of pastas, pizzas, soups, sandwiches and fish and chips. European wines, local beers and soft drinks are included with lunch and dinner. The Horizon Bar and Lounge features floor-to-ceiling windows.

Emerald Destiny has a heated swimming pool with a retractable roof, which becomes a cinema in the evenings. There is also a mini-golf putting green, a walking track, a fitness room, a massage and beauty centre and a hairdresser on board.

There are no facilities for children and passengers under the age of 12 years are generally not welcomed on board.
