P&O Cruises’ Pacific Sun is sailing at reduced speed across the Tasman due to an engine fault.

Passengers on board P&O Cruises’ Newcastle-based Pacific Sun have missed a call at Dunedin and cruising in Fiordland National Park after the ship developed a technical fault in one of her engines.

The 1,896-passenger ship is currently sailing at reduced speed across the Tasman Sea, en route to her homeport from a 14-night ‘White Cloud Wonders’ cruise.

Due to the setbacks of her late arrival back to Newcastle and the need for repairs, Pacific Sun’s following four-night cruise to Melbourne is cancelled in place of a three-night cruise to nowhere.
